Fair trade at Gamestop?
So a few days ago I rented the Wii game My Sims and started playing it shortly realizing that I loved it! Unfortunatly I can only keep the game until Sunday. I really want to buy the game, but Wii games are so expensive usually $30-50. I do have a brand new and still sealed game called 'My Word Coach' that I have no interest in and would not mind trading in for another used game at Gamestop. Would a trade between My Sims and My Word Coach be possible? It's true that My Word Coach is cheaper ($30) but it completly sealed and has never been used before compared to the game I would get in return would be used. What do you all think?
I don't think that you could do that. They wouldn't buy the game for $30, because they only buy it at about 1/3 its sellling price. So they would buy that for probably about $10, and you could buy the MySims for probably about $40 if it is used. So you would still need to pay about $30 for the MySims, or somewhere around there. I know it is kind of unfair, but that is how they make their money. If they didn't have it this way, they would probably go out of business. Good luck!
