My game wont work for the wii? help please

i was bought a game last christmas for the nintendo wii, but i was more into the ps3 so never got around to opening it, let alone playing it. so the other day i found it still in its plastic seal...so i opened it, put the game in and the nintendo wii makes a few noises then the screen goes black and white writing comes up saying "error, please remove the disc, turn off the wii console and refer to the wii operations manual" ive never seen this happen before, all my other games for the wii work. my sister recently got the wii fit for her birthday, and even that works. the game that is not working is "resident evil - the umbrella chronicles" its the only game with a age restriction that i have for the wii, but if it was because i had age restrictions on the wii, it would of told me right? so do i have a dodgey disk, or is it something to do with the wii settings? i went through the wii settings and i didnt come across anything saying i had parental controls on. please help thanks.
its most likley the game itself mate i have a large collection of games for the wii allot of which have age restrictions but ive never experienced this problem! the parental controls will only activate if the are set to do so, they dont automatically activate. take the game to your nearest gaming store and they will try it one of their own, if theres a problem they will source it for you.
