On Raving Rabbids, I own #1 and rented #2. #1 is much better.
It's true that Boogie isn't that much of a challenge, but it is fun regardless. If you just like to sing karaoke style, without having a game "boo" and "hiss" at you every time you miss a note (like DDR does every time you miss a step) then this game's a blast. The music alone is pretty good, if you'd like to sing along to Fergie's "Fergalicious", or The Pussycat Dolls "Don't Cha", or my 3 year old grandbaby's favorite, the "Milkshake" song. All songs are covered by the original artists, and are all well-known pop songs--at the risk of sounding sexist, the songs are geared more for girls.
As far as "Smarty Pants" goes. It's a simple, basic, "no frills" trivia game, but with over 20,000 questions where you can set "age appropriate/specific" questions , well if you like trivia games, you're going to like this game.
Is "Big Brain Academy" a better game? Well, yes, if you want to test and develop certain brain functions--but not if what you're in the mood for is a game of trivial pursuit.
It's all a matter of taste and what interests you personally.
