Should I buy unopened Wii games to sell unopened in 10 or 15 years?
I have been looking around on ebay and I have seen unopened, sealed games like Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Super Mario All Stars selling for over $600 bucks. SHould I buy some Wii games now, never open them, then sell them in 15 years?
A game that costs a lot is usually games, that come in special ways.
For example games gotten through club Nintendo. These games can't be bought in retail shops and therefore only very few people have them.
When few people have a game, the demand for it will rise because there aren't that many copies of it left.
When the demand rises, the price of the game will rise as well, because people are willing to pay more since it is rare to get.
That is called the supply and demand principle.
Some of the older games for NES, SNES and N64 are still worth some money because the gaming industry was still kinda new compared to now.
There are A LOT more people who has a Wii compared to the older consoles, which means that companies produce more copies of a game, and when there are more copies of a game, the supply is more than the demand, and that causes the price to fall.
Your best bet is to buy some of the older games from Ebay, and then wait a couple of years before selling them. These games will most likely inflate a lot more in price than the Wii games.
